In the Waiting

What do you bring with you to sit in the waiting room of the dentist's office while awaiting your first root canal treatment?

Your latest stitching of course!

For me that was continuing on with 'Woof' from my Gardener's Journal.

And before leaving this morning I funnelled my nervous energy into baking a batch of banana choc-chip muffins for the kids. The over ripe bananas just said "cook me" this morning!

I used this recipe that I came across a while ago through a friend. They turn out so yummy every time!

As for the root canal treatment, it all went as well as it could and wasn't nearly as bad as I had thought it might be.

Have a creative kind of weekend :)

FNSI

A little more done on my pinwheels for FNSI.
The next step was to trim my pinwheel blocks I put together from the last FNSI.

I really enjoyed working on this next step in this quilt. Only 11 blocks trimmed on Friday night...so a few more to do this week.

Here's one all trimmed up ready for the next part of the block.

Also did a little stitching on my Gardener's Journal. Love the dog....cute :)
Thank you to Wendy from Sugarlane Quilts for hosting FNSI.

Gardening In Between

Just a quick post today about some progress in my garden.....stitching that is.....gardening in between the other happenings of life, complete with frayed edges and wrinkles!

The last few weeks have flown by with the school holidays. It's always so nice to have everyone home and have a break from routine.

In between swimming lessons, a trip to the movies, holiday activities, installing irrigation on a few trees, sorting fabric etc... I have managed to finish a bit more on my Gardener's Journal.

The Annual Garden Show ladies were the most recently finished.

The completed stitcheries are really adding up now! Can't wait to get a start on putting some blocks together. I am trying to finish some other projects as well so I should be good and finish those first....lol

I think the dovecote with the beautiful blue birds is my favourite.....until I stitch some more that is.

Also just signed up for FNSI with Wendy at Sugarlane Quilts. Join us on Friday :)
