Perseverance

During the school holidays I cut out some squares to make a couple of baby quilts for the local hospital.

I've been looking forward to putting them together. I finished the tops in January, and February has been so full it has just flown by.

They are not the most glamorous looking quilt tops, but am glad I could get something out of what I had on hand. It seems I have a lot more florals than boys prints. Must do something about that!
I was determined last night for a bit of progress on the quilts. I was so pleased to at least get them sandwiched together.

An all-nighter was definitely not on the agenda, so I took myself off to bed for some good rest. A panadol to dull the pain from a couple of troublesome teeth, that don't seem to be getting better on their own, and all was good.

This morning, before heading off to work I mixed up some scrumptious chocolate banana muffins. Found the recipe here a couple of weeks ago. They have been a real hit with the kids....even for the non-banana eater!

I like to have some home baked goodies in the kids lunchboxes and have been improving on achieving that this year.

I ended up arriving home from work later than I had hoped so my 'sandwiched' baby quilts are still sitting on the machine ready for some action.

So there has been a small amount of sewing progress here, but some is better than none at all. I am reminded to have a little perseverance.....

Will report back shortly, hopefully with the finished products!
(and yes, I am going to the dentist - so glad for the cancellation in tomorrow's appointments)
