Happy New Year

A 'quiet one' for us this New Year's Eve. A family barbecue and some sparklers with the kids before tucking them in to bed for the night.

Our playful puppy had to be tied up (or she'd chase the sparks), then mum was kept very busy with keeping the sparklers lit as dad snapped some photos...amazing how quickly they burn down!

The delight on their faces was fantastic. It is always so lovely watching them enjoy the simple things.

Between Christmas and New Years I was soooo pleased to see some progress on our extension (...started 6 years ago...). I am reminded that all good things take time. It has certainly tested my patience over the years. I think this project qualifies as a WIRSP.

So from this...

...to this!!

It will be very nice not to be greeted at the front door by blue sarking.

Every little bit of progress is one more step towards finishing.....but yes, I do often wonder if it will ever be! LOL

Happy New Year to you and hope you have a wonderful year with lots of finished projects.

  1. Happy New Year Leanne... I always love sparklers, don't make them like they used to :)... Glad some work is getting done on the city too :)

Thanks for your comment. I read and appreciate every one and love the inspiration from your blogs too. Happy stitching!
